AÂ 3Â WEEK WORKSHOP WITHÂ STEPHANIE SMITH
The Tarot of The Artist's Way
A Three-Week Exploration of Tarot, Writing & the Creative Life
November 2nd—November 20th
What if a Tarot card could help you see your creative life differently?
The Artist’s Way gives us a language for so many of the things that shape our creativity: synchronicity. Inner critics. Creative wounds. Play. Resistance. Trust. The strange and sometimes terrifying act of letting something new emerge.
Tarot has a language for those things, too.
What happens when we put these two creative languages next to each other and see what sparks?
The Tarot of The Artist’s Way brings them together for three weeks of writing, reflection, curiosity, and creative exploration.
Three times each week, we'll explore one idea from The Artist's Way alongside a Tarot card whose archetype, imagery, or "medicine" offers us another way into it.
You don't need to be working your way through The Artist's Way.
You don't need to know how to read Tarot.
You don’t need to be a professional writer.
You just need a deck, something to write with, and a little curiosity.
We're not asking the cards to predict what happens next. We're asking them to help us pay attention.
Each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, you'll receive a short exploration pairing a creative principle from The Artist's Way with a Tarot archetype.
We'll look at what that card might have to teach us about the creative life—about things like resistance, pleasure, loss, possibility, trust, our inner child, limiting stories, and creative upheaval.
Then you'll take it to the page.
You'll receive a writing prompt connected to the day's theme, along with an invitation to pull a card of your own: perhaps a tool you need, an energy to work with, or an anchor for whatever you're exploring.
The card isn't there to give you the answer.
It's there to give you somewhere interesting to begin.
WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE
✨ Nine Tarot + Creativity Explorations
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, you'll receive a short reading pairing an Artist's Way concept with a Tarot card/archetype, plus a writing prompt and optional card pull.
✨ Three Live Zoom Gatherings
Once each week, we'll come together to write, pull cards, talk about what we're noticing, explore the week's themes, and connect. Attendance is always optional.Â
✨ A Private Community Space
Share your cards, writing, questions, discoveries, and "OF COURSE I pulled that card" moments—or quietly follow along. Both count.
✨ A Creative Practice You Can Actually Fit Into Your Life
Three invitations per week. Follow all nine, skip one, fall behind, come back. There is no Tarot homework police.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF...
- You love The Artist's Way (or have been meaning to read it for years…) and want a new way to explore its ideas.
- You're Tarot-curious and want to learn through archetypes, reflection, and experience rather than memorizing 78 definitions.
- You already read Tarot and want to bring your cards more deeply into your writing or creative practice.
- You're feeling creatively stuck, restless, tender, curious, or ready for something new.
- You want a structured creative practice without committing to another enormous project.
- You like the idea of letting a card become a doorway into a question you didn't know you needed to ask.
- You are a writing prompt enthusiast and could use some new material.
This isn't a Tarot certification course, and it isn't fortune telling.
It's a creative practice.
Tarot gives us the archetype.
The Artist's Way gives us the framework.
Writing helps us discover what it means for us.

The Pause:
A creative community for midlife women
The Pause is a creative community for midlife women who feel something shifting and want a place to reconnect with their creative spark. You might be rethinking your work, your relationships, your writing, or even who you are in this season. You might be in the process of outgrowing old systems that aren't working anymore, or shedding a skin. Â
Here, you will find women who are thoughtful, curious, and willing to connect on a deep level. Women who are building new things. Women who are letting go of old things. Women who are simply trying to listen to their own voices again and to figure out what stories they really want to tell. If you are craving connection, inspiration, and steady forward movement in a supportive community, you are welcome here.
